What is professional life coaching?

We all have problems in our lives. Successful people have problems, yet they continue to look for solutions to live abundantly.  What is a life coach? Life coaches help solve your problems, so you take action and get results.

The role of a life coach is to help people like you develop your own life planning and life management issues. Coaching agendas can comprise various areas of life: (not limited to)

  • Career goals

  • Transitions in life

  • Spiritual growth

  • Meaningful living

  • Healthy lifestyle management

  • Life balance

  • Decision making

Coaching is designed to address issues the person being coached would like to consider. My focused population group is helping busy women, like you, gain momentum to move forward with confidence into a more meaningful lives. When there is improved happiness it results in higher energy output.  Coaches offer guidance and objectivity to inspire people.

For whom is coaching?

Coaching is for relatively well-adjusted people, who desire to build vision and move forward into the future. They function fairly effectively and want to make improvements in their lives. Coaches can help those who procrastinate, have fear of failure, or lack confidence.

What is the difference between counseling and coaching?

Counseling and life coaching are different. Counseling is looking back, focuses on problems, dealing with conflict, insecurities, spiritual struggles, and emotional issues such as depression, anxiety, and anger. The counselor is the expert who treats patients and directs the treatment plan. Coaches do not function as licensed or professional therapists.

Coaching focuses on experiencing fulfillment, enhanced performance, career or personal development. It focuses on present and future possibilities, reaching goals, and turning dreams into realities. The coach and client work together to bring about transformational change. Life coaching is supporting individuals to propel them forward in life, through transitions.

The best coaching is done by people with training in coaching skills such as listening, asking questions, and providing encouragement. Successful coaching will be an ongoing relationship that may require a number of months. The most effective coaching takes place over several months since change can take months and will be stretching. Coaching involves answering questions that may be difficult and requires a person to dig deeply, requires time, commitment, and attention to complete weekly or monthly goals. Your choice! Do you want to live life fully or live your life half full?
